Michael Koehn

BHD Board Chair

Michael Koehn is a 1981 graduate of Bellville High School.  After high school Mike attended The University of Texas in Austin graduating with a BS in Pharmacy in 1986.  After graduation from UT Mike moved back to Bellville to work at Walter’s Pharmacy.  In 1992 Mike completed his Master of Science Degree in Pharmacy Administration at UT Austin.  As a second generation pharmacist  Mike has a passion for healthcare that has been cultivated his entire life.  This passion for healthcare, particularly rural healthcare,  led him to seek a position on the newly forming Bellville Hospital District Board in 1999.  He has served on that Board since being elected.  In May 2019 Mike was appointed to the Bellville Medical Center Board and currently serves as that board’s Vice-Chairman.

Tony Causey

BHD Vice Chair

Tony is serving his second term on the BHD Board and currently is the board’s chair. He retired from professional life five years ago following a successful business career in international energy insurance broking, agency management, risk management and large energy client account service. Tony gained practical experience ins crisis management and dispute resolution matters over his forty-year career. Tony and wife, Jane, have been Austin County property owners and full-time Bellville residents for twenty-nine years. Active in many civic organizations including the Bellville Lions Club, he currently serves as a board member for RAP. Tony is an active member of Bellville United Methodist Church. His immediate family includes three daughters and son-in-law and four grandchildren, the youngest is a junior at Bellville High School. Tony earned a BBA with emphasis in Insurance & Risk Management form the University of Texas at Austin and took numerous post-grad finance and management course studies during his career. Tony is proud to serve the District and the Austin County community.

Jill O’Jibway Brandt

Jill O’Jibway Brandt grew up in Bellville and graduated from Bellville High School in 2000.  She attended Texas A & M University and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Health in 2004 and received a Master’s in Heathcare Administration in 2007 from Texas A&M School of Rural Health.  Her education in Healthcare has been a true asset to the District Board and she is an excellent representative of the generation of Bellville alumni returning to the community.  She has served on the District Board for more than 8 years, and is a member of Bellville United Methodist Church.  Jill is currently Senior Vice President at Austin County State Bank, and most recently graduated from the Southwest Graduate School of Banking in June 2019.  Jill has been married to Bo for 13 years, and has three children, Beckham, Lily, and Luke.  She is active in the community and has served on several boards in the Bellville community and believes in quality healthcare and great service.  Jill enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Cindy Bryant

A native of Bellville since childhood, Cindy is 1989 Bellville High School alumni. Thereafter, she attended Texas School of Business where she studied and obtained a Paralegal Degree. Cindy is blissfully married to her husband, Howard Bryant, since 2017 and they currently reside in Bellville and invest in their community by volunteering time and services. Cindy offers a diverse background of knowledge and experience, ranging from oil and gas to Out-Patient Therapy, Cindy assisted with the opening of 1st Texas Home Health in 2001 and presently remains an integral part of the company as Office Manager/Billing Specialist. Cindy is humbled to represent her community by holding a Board of Directors position with the Bellville Hospital District; enabling her to contribute expertise in healthcare accounting, billing, insurance, human resources, clinical administration and operations.

Nancy L Dornon

Working in outpatient and inpatient settings provided the foundation for a career in healthcare for Nancy.   Assisting in the formation of The Dornon Clinic, a large inpatient and outpatient adolescent psychiatric clinic, in 1985 provided her with a background and experience in many aspects of a medical facility and practice.  With knowledge of marketing, management, clinical services and staffing, medical business office and medical collections, along with her interest in community service, serving on the Bellville Hospital District Board was an easy decision.  Her personal family needs and numerous experiences with Bellville Hospital cemented her passion for and commitment to securing local quality medical care for the citizens of Bellville and Austin County. Nancy has been privileged to serve on the Hospital District Board for over a decade and now also performs the duties of Secretary/Treasurer of the newly formed Bellville Medical Center Board.  Nancy has been a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Bellville since 1996 and has served on the Day School Board, been a lay eucharistic minister and lay reader over the years.  Nancy has four sons, two grandsons and a granddaughter on the way.

Bryan James Maedgen

Bryan has served as a Director of Bellville Medical Center since its formation in May 2019 and has also served on the Bellville Hospital District Board of Directors since approximately 2009.  He currently serves on the District Board Executive Committee as well.  Bryan is a retired Attorney who specialized in trials and litigation, with a specialty interest in Healthcare, Medicine, and Science.  He was a partner in Strasburger and Price, a Texas firm with locations in large Texas cities, Mexico City and New York City.  He represented large healthcare corporations, medical schools, pharmaceutical companies and more during his long, illustrious career in Healthcare law.  His extensive experience and background in healthcare law has been most advantageous in the formation of the Bellville Medical Center, where he has served on committees reviewing contracts and legal documents.  Well-respected for his legal acumen on the District and Medical Center Boards, Bryan provides leadership and legal insight for the benefit of the Hospital District and Medical Center.
