As the country and state see a rise in COVID-19 cases, many more people are seeking testing. State labs and private labs, such as those used by Bellville Medical Center, are processing significantly more tests and the turnaround time has become longer.
Bellville Medical Center has been prepared since early March to evaluate, diagnose and treat COVID-19 patients. The availability of test kits is limited at this time, which has reduced the opportunity for testing. This is happening throughout Texas. We will continue to test on Tuesdays 8:30-11:30 by appointment only while test kit supplies allow. Call (979)413-7400 for an appointment. Remember to get a doctor’s order and complete the information sheet found on the website at bellvillmc.org. You will also need a photo ID, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, credit or debit card.
Please understand that YOUR community hospital is working hard to test as many people as possible and call the ordering physician with positive results immediately upon receipt. All other reports are faxed to the ordering physician.
We appreciate your understanding and support. As always, we are here for you.
ATTENTION: Beginning Thursday, May 21, 2020, patients must enter through the hospital main entrance for COVID-19 screening. Only ER patients will use the ER entrance. Other entrances are now secured. We ask everyone coming on campus to wear a mask, if possible. We would like to reserve disposable PPE for our healthcare providers.
Bellville Medical Center will provide drive-thru testing weekly on Tuesday only from 8:30AM - 11:30AM, by appointment only and you must have a physician order.
